Advent & Christmas at Southminster

No one has had a greater impact on history than Jesus Christ, and for good reason. Everything changed when God sent his son to be born into humanity. God entered into humanity in one of the most unexpected and humble ways possible. The story of Christmas is our story, and it's your story.

Advent is a season of waiting and preparation that begins 4 Sundays before Christmas, and finishes on Christmas Day. Each year during Advent we await the birth of Jesus. Join us in these special events that help us prepare our hearts, our family, and our communities, for the coming of Jesus.

  • Advent Devotionals & Resources

Our church has compiled a list of resources to help you and your families journey through the season of Advent in a meaningful way. Please take some time to explore what resource you could use on your own, with your family or with others.

Contact Pastor Andrew if you have any questions about using these resources. We pray that these resources will be meaningful to you and your loved ones as we prepare for the coming of the Messiah!

  • Advent Study: The Case for Christmas by Lee Strobel

Please wrap items such as baby food, diapers and other items suitable for small children, in white tissue paper.
